Default revisiting morrocco after 30 years

we would be greatful if anybody can send us advice, links, locations etc. or even refer us to some earlier threads ( we just joined today)
we plan to go with our small campervan VW. spending december/january in morocco. our idea is to spend most time away from the usual tourist places.
interests are people, remote places, e.g. villages, small towns, rather than big cities, markets, handicrafts, jewellery, walking, photographing ( only where possible).
if anybody knows of picturesque camp-sites, that would be welcome.
ps i take it the ferry to the canaries has sunk a few years ago and will not run again in the near future ?

Default Hiya

Hello there!

Me too am visiting Morocco (Casablanca) in beginning of January InshAllah. Sidi Ifni is a beautiful place approx 5 hours by car south of Agadir, there is a camping spot for campervans etc by the beach (watch the 1st picture below) although it can get a little windy during winter times like most beaches in Morocco. Its a nice long drive from Agadir. Its not at all packed with tourists like the big cities, its quite the small jewel if u ask me. Look online for more info!

PS: The map is not the original Morocco map, Western Sahara?

They are really lovely photos. Do you have any to share from Essaouria? I'm hopefully going there the end of Oct. Wondering what to expect I gather it is a windy place and considered cold...but as I'm from the UK I doubt it's cold as we know cold here.

Thank you jamal...I will check it out on google. But it would also be nice to hear from someones personal experience about Essaouria, maybe someone who has been will put me right on whats best to see and do whilst there. I know it's well known for fishing...
