Company DAKOTA CAR, Marrakech are bunch of thiefs!!

I'd like to share with you my experience, I got ripped off by this rental car company called DAKOTA CAR operating in Marrakesh. on Summer 2007 we rent a car for 10 days. we paid for the rental up front and my husband has to sign this paper as a security deposit stating that in case of damage, the credit card will be used as a security deposit. Our trip went just fine, everything went smooth and when we came back home to Canada we were surprised that the rental company charged us 20 000dhs (about $2500) without any valid reason, the car was returned in a good condition. We contacted Visa and filed a claim but nothing happened. After one year we had to contact the Moroccan general consulate in Montreal, after 3 months we finally got our money back!! please be advised and we don't recommend this rental company DAKOTA CAR as they are bunch of thiefs!!

Hi Assalama, welcome to GoMorocco. I'm sorry to hear that happen to my sister (for real) Assalama, it worth give it a negative review for DAKOTA. I'm sure it as also a bad luck, there's many decent car rentals in Marrakesh.

Hello Assalama, so sorry to hear about your negative experience with Dakota Car, hopefully it was all just a misunderstanding and this won't effect your future trips back to Morocco Here are a few rental company's in Marrakech, I do recommended Orbitz or Hertz they are reputable companies here in the United States. livraison du véhicule très rapide et pratique directement devant l'aéroport, sur le parking, très appréciable après autant d'heure de vol avec trois enfants et poussettes, véhicule diesel très économique, retour du véhicule également très rapide toujours devant l'aéroport, prix très compétitif, Je recommande chaudement Car Rental Ltd.
