Well 1st of all Morocco is like one big playground for the senses and Morocco loves children and children seem to love Morocco.
The medina tends to fascinate both young and old so any of the major cities like Marrakech, Fes, Essaouira will be nice.
If you don't know alot about Morocco a good base is Marrakech. Easy flights in and out + easy to reach most destinations incl the desert.
I would highly recommend considering a 3 day trip to Merzouga incl camel rides and a nghts stay in a bivouac, a Berber tent. The children will love it.

What age are they, how long do you intend to stay and what is your budget?
Morocco can cater for backpackers or luxury clients.
Personally I've my expertise in the "flashpacker" market.

If you are going to think about the Weather condition then Weather is as varied as Morocco itself. According to me Summer is the best time to visit the Mediterranean and Atlantic coast lines.There is lots of places where you can enjoy a lot like your younger children will a romp on the beautiful beach. And the older kids might like to do some beach casting . Some best sights where your family may enjoy like the woodcarvers in the medina or fishermen unloading their catch at the port–and there is several seafood restaurants nearby. ..So make your trip unforgettable and enjoy a lot..Stay with villa hotel and enjoy a lot!!!!

Morocco is really nice place to visit with family,but Majorca is my favorite holiday destination with its guaranteed sun, sandy beaches and lively night life.
