So what is this place? Whoever wrote the Wikipedia article made it sound like the ghetto. Any underground happenings there?

Sale is one of the oldest cities in Morocco. It's a neighbor city of Rabat. both are only divided by Bouregreg river.
There's a huge project called Bouregreg going on and should be finished by March this year. It will be an excellent asset for the tourists and the city.

There's few ghetto neighborhoods in Sale but nothing really scary like in Miami or Detroit

It just seems like if there were an actual subculture, some kind of people living on the fringes or whatever, they'd do it in Sale. I know I would. I gotta check that out.
