I am planning on traveling to Morocco this summer , it is my first time and I would like to bring gifts along. Any suggestions on what AMERICAN products would be good to bring?

Thank you.

Here's some ideas and hints on what to gifts to bring from America To Morocco:
- Electronics: Moroccans like gadgets and technology stuff: phones, toys, digital slick cameras are considered expensive but more affordable in the US.
Electric kitchen supplies and tools are a good gifts. If i had the choice cuisine art will be a good choice.
PS: for any electric device, you might want to check out the voltage in Morocco and plugs.
An ideal gift will be a smart phone, that you can unlock and use with Moroccan mobile providers (iam, meditel). As long it use a sim card, i'm sure they will unlock it.
- Clothes: Moroccans like modern clothing. there's lot of nice clothes stores in Morocco and major brands, but American makes and brands, signatures, t shirts, jeans are always welcome. t shirts are a good gift. I always liked to bring socks, nice socks as gift and in quantities. This coming from my personal experience back then, I wasn't happy with local socks and was always happy to use good one!
Shoes: Moroccan has a better access to Europe, Italy shoes and such. best gifts in my opinion is sneakers, nice ones! If i had a brother to bring a gift to a nice pair will be on the list for sure.

- Food and snacks: A visit to costco will probably do the job, as most of the items come in family size which fit the spirit of gifts, family and friends: chocolates, US candies and snacks are nice, nuts, etc...

Toiletry: deodorants, toothpaste, razors, soap, body creme make good gifts.

That's all for now. I will try to add more ideas and refine my lists!

I like your very comprehensive list Abdel I would be very happy to receive any of them...especially the smart phone LOL.. But you may leave out the chocolate and candy. As I remember American chocolate tastes pretty gross, but then I'm spolit by our very nice chocolate in the UK. Should you ever find yourself in the uk you're welcome to drop by with your case of goodies.

Flowerbomb...you'd best be checking your luggage allowance... Unless you're plannning to wear all your clothes.

Hope you have a great trip.

Yes I agree, there's much better chocolate in Europe. My point was and i remember when I was in Morocco i used to get excited when i see candies, and especially the one i never saw before. It's no that a big of deal but i know that kids love candies. there's some nice US classics.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will not be bringing any chocolates from the US maybe a carry on with Hersey kisses. Abdel I will make sure that I bring plenty of hard candy's ones that won't melt along the way. Children always get excited for candy

Arwen I believe they allow 2 bags to check between 2 people 4 bags that should be enough room to bring lots of things . I am sure my trip will be the best one yet.
