Default Travel crisis 2009: Morocco launches late deals website

Morocco has become the first country to face up to the collapse in travel bookings and launch a website aimed at reviving its tourism economy.

The country's tourism bosses have collected deals and offers from 30 holiday companies and will launch its new website www.moroccotherapy.com later today.

It is a mix of discounts and offers, including free spa treatments, transfers and hotel nights. But headline offers include a week in Agadir for £419, or three nights in a five-star hotel in Marrakesh for £359.

The move comes after Morocco reported a decline of 15 per cent in British travellers in January over the same month last year.

Thank you for sharing. I'm not sure like the concept of illness/stress and therapy. Morocco is not a mental institution. it's true a nice getaway is always good to release the stress.
but the real stress source and the main reason of the drop in the UK tourists in particular is the global economy,
I wish they could of market the Moroccan hash as the ultimate therapy for stress, you will get millions of tourists.

The real problem is, Britain is realy suffering with the crisis and the average person just dosn't have the money to travel. This should benifit the cheaper destinations outside Europe. Lets hope Morocco dosn't suffer too much because of this. Morocco has so much to offer.

Default Travel to morocco

the crisis is part fuel hike and more to do with the hassle given to travelers on site they ask too many details where when what date at airports they drive people mad with ques and by ship they can not get to the point. i recall years ago hopping on and off paying or booking near the time without all these false deals like revolving door deals.it was called freedom and fair play. we have lost it big time .so buseness suffers from their own sillyness.
