Default my best experience in Morocco

. It was absolutely perfect. Morocco is such a beautiful, diverse country. Everything was wonderful. We loved the food, people, gorgeous landscape and hospitality. best experience in Morocco
My sister and I were in Morocco in late August and September with morocco little company Adventures From Sahara - Expert tourism guide for your tours in Morocco - Guida turistica esperta per i tuoi viaggi in Marocco ibrahim is our guide. What a great choice we made! We had seen his name listed on tripadvisor forums and contacted some of the people who had written about him. All were most positive.
Ibrahim is 29 years old (although he seems like he's 35) and very educated. His English is great, he also speaks French, Spanish, Berber and some other languages. He grew up the son of nomad parents so his knowledge of the regions around the Sahara is perfect. We had him meet us at the aeroport in Marrakesh to begin our "expedition". He and his driver, Youssef arrived in a new AC Toyota 4x4 (it was August so we chose the AC - slight upcharge as they have several vehicles). He took us over the Atlas Mountains (fantastic views) with many stops I'm sure are not on the regular tourist routes. His dialogue througout the trip is invaluable as you are treated to the history and cultures of each region and each place we stopped from people living in caves to out-of-the way villages, etc.
We spent a night in the desert (Erg Chebbi) where he was right at home. His boyhood friend was the camel driver (youssef). It was one of those "I'll NEVER forget this" experiences. The 3 hour camel trec into the desert was "just enough". I don't know how Lawrence of Arabia could do the distances he did on the back of one of these animals!
After the desert experience we took the "low road" through the black desert to Ouarzazate. Don't miss the Atlas film studio. They still have the huge buildings used in "Cleopatra" - the movie with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Parts of Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven were also made here.
Our final destination was Essaouria at the coast so we had many days to get to know these guys. Ibraim chose "perfect" places to stay. We had specified air conditioning (August) and we were never disappointed in accomodations.
We had such a great time that we are still in contact with him We are professional photographers so we have promised pictures to half of the poeple we met! They even took us to lunch at his parent house where we met his family!
You'll need to arrange with him in advance as he is busy a lot of the time. They will meet with you in any city you specify and he is just as knowledgeable of the cities (Fes, Marrakesh,Essaouira. etc.). It may take a week or so for him to respond. Just mention that you got his name from website. the price was raisonable. (That included the upcharge for the AC vehicle) His price included everything except lunches. All of the accomodations are half board (breakfast and dinner included).
I know you'll cherish the experience and he is great. He's trying to build his travel business so he goes the extra mile to please.
We really appreciate previous feedback and we highly recommend adventuresfromsahara.Com to everyone we talk to.
we love Moroccooooooo
