Default Any signs of unrest in Morocco?

Having read/watched a few news reports about the unrest in Tunisia and now the massive demonstrations in Egypt... what is the mood like in Morocco?

Although, Morocco is more removed and for lack of a better would progressive country is there any signs of unrest occurring there in the coming months?

Cheers

Not sure as I'm not in Morocco, but I don't think it's in the same straights as many Arab states in the area. Morocco has a monarchy, and I believe their King is highly thought of and is trying hard to make improvements, regards the corruption etc. I think he has the support of the people. Maybe Morocco could be the only stable country in the region as those with the authoritarian rulers fall one by one.

Who knows, but I would say personally, the trouble at the moment In Tunisia and Egypt would not stop me travelling to Morocco.

Maybe someone has a better knowledge of the country can advise you better.

I'm not in Morocco, but in touch with family and friends. Morocco is not affected by any type of unrest. Moroccan people are peaceful people and happy about their King and government. Also, I don't think there's any Moroccan starving like people in Egypt, nor living in cemeteries like some Egyptian do.
I'm glad Morocco is very consistent in his own traditions and heritage

Morocco has no effects of the disturbance that is going on in Egypt. But I am surprised to see that their king is working in the development of the country and the people are happy with his rule.

Starting to see a few news reports showing some unrest in Morocco

Obviously, if I am thinking selfishly about my trip this isn't something I want, so I'm hoping it doesn't escalate and resolves itself within the next few weeks.

Having said that I would like Moroccans to have the best lives possible within their Country. If that means changes need to be made I hope they can be made peacefully. I have read many reports that Moroccans are happy with their King, so I'm not really sure where this latest protest movement is coming from?

Cheers.

There's nothing wrong with the recent protests. All what they are asking is the king should delegate more of his power to the government. Ideally it will be like the monarchy in the U.K or in Spain. Protesters asked to review/update the constitution. Nobody asking for the king to leave.. in fact we prefer and love having a king. he's been doing well and we appreciate his hard work.
The issue is the people that are surrounding him. some of them must go.
