Morocco Price Guide

The goal of this thread is to give Morocco Travelers a useful tool to plan their travel budget. By giving them an idea of the range of prices of some basic goods and services.

Please take in considerations few things:
  1. The prices on this list are prepared by our members visiting local grocery stores (Marjane) and we did every effort to make it accurate.
  2. Please take into consideration the regional and quality differences etc in price.
  3. You may find things cheaper or you may find them more expensive on a trip around Morocco but as general rule of thumb you won't go far wrong, with these prices.

I'll try to add more prices and you are welcome to add prices of goods/services missing.

How much does it cost to smoke a water pipe in a tea house in Morocco?
Also, how much does coffee or tea cost in the tea houses?

I'm not sure if there's any Hookah Cafe in Mogador, they must be one at least. I know few in Casablanca and Marrakesh, I will do a search and post the addresses in here.

Default Long-term stay in Casablanca

Thanks Abdel for the price list. Very helpful indeed!

How about if I plan for a longer stay in Casablanca. How much is it to rent a flat for one person in Casablanca?

How much is the utilities like water and electricity?

I am assuming that taxis are the way to go around, how much is taxi fare? You have buses and trains too?

Thanks!
JP

The price of a flat in Casablanca ranges between 200$ and 400$ depending on the number of rooms, and the area it exists.
Yes you can take a taxis or a bus, but you are advised to take a bus if you want to economize unless you are heading to a special target then take a taxis.
There are very trains also, you can use them if you would like to visit other other cities.
hope this helps, and wish you a nice stay in Morocco.
