| When to travel to morocco ? Morocco Travel Guide, climate:
Best: Sept-Oct, March and May [April often brings sirocco sandstorms to the desert].
OK: winter months, Nov-Feb, are generally fine and warm except in the north or up the mountains.
Worst: July, Aug. Up to and over 40C [104F] inland, though it can be the most pleasant time on the coast [unless the sea mist rolls in and obscures your southern beach!].
There’s always Ramadan to think of, a time when devout Muslims don’t eat or drink. This puts everyone in a terrible mood and isn’t the best time to be in Morocco. It’s based on the lunar calendar and gets earlier each year. Currently it’s sometime around the autumn.
Next Ramadan will be on :
[Sept 1 - Sept 29 '2008]
[August 20 - Sept 20 '2009]
Length of stay:
Min. worthwhile stay, not incl. flights : 5 days [Marrakesh & Draa/Ziz valley drive]
Recommended: 9 days - 1 month
Morocco Festivals Guide:
June, Fes Sacred Music Festival - actually wacky world music...
June, Essaouria Festival of Music.
June, Marrakech Festival of Popular Arts, 10 days of arts attack.
Aug, Imilchil Engagement Festival, 3 days of Berber instant match-making.
As with many destinations the weather usually determines the best time to travel to Morocco. During the winter months, from November to March, it can get quite cold and rainy especially in the Atlas mountains. Click here for average temperatures for all major towns and tourist destinations in Morocco. If you are leaving soon, check today's temperatures in Casablanca, Marrakech and Agadir.
The peak tourist season in Morocco is July and August. If you want to avoid the crowds and the heat, travel before or after this time. If you are traveling during these months then be sure to make some of your hotel bookings in advance especially along the coasts. |

| Morocco in February and March would be great. It won't be neither too hot nor too cold during the day, but it gets a liilte bit cold at night, however, it may be too cold, and snowing in the High Atlas. |

| October Hello and thank you for all the information you have put together, it's very useful.
I'm planning to visit Morocco this October. I'm going from Tangier to Casablanca and sort of stopping everywhere in between.
How do you think the weather will be like during that month? Also, my dates are very flexible. Taking into account that I'd rather be too hot than too cold, should I move the trip to September? November?
Thanks in advance! |

Thanks in advance! | Hi Sybil Vane, Welcome to Go Morocco.
I think the best month would be October it's still hot and if your going to the coast the sea is at it's warmest this time of year.
Saying that Morocco is good any time of year. |
