Trade Moroccan carpet exhibited in Germany The Moroccan carpet is exhibited in a German museum by the "Toensmann" foundation, which is specialised in carpet manufacturing.
Inaugurated on Monday in the city of Espelkamp, the museum is presenting a wide range of carpets from Morocco's different regions.
It also exhibits the tools used in the carpet industry, besides manuscripts and pieces of Moroccan traditional furniture.
This museum reflects the long-lasting ties between Morocco and Germany, which go back to 1506, said Morocco's ambassador in Berlin, Rachad Bouhlal, who attended the inauguration ceremony.
The Toensmann foundation opened a representation in Morocco in 1963 to export Moroccan carpets to Germany. By CMC |
