Paris - French hotel group "Lucien Barrière," which runs 16 luxury hotels, 40 casinos and over 100 restaurants in France, has chosen Morocco to take its first steps abroad, wrote Saturday the French business newspaper "La Tribune."
Owned by Barrière Desseigne family, the group has just opened "Le Naoura Barrière," a luxury hotel in the city of Marrakech, the newspaper said.
Dominique Desseigne, president of "Lucien Barrière" said the completion period of the 45 million Euro hotel, originally scheduled for seven years, will be slightly extended due to the current economic situation.
He voiced hope to invest in other Moroccan cities such as Tangier and Essaouira, as well as in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. |
