Default Morocco's Paris real estate exhibit, 'a big success,' organisers

Paris - The 6th Moroccan real estate exhibition (SMAP-Immo), which was held on May 21-24 in Paris, was "a big success", says a press release of the organizers.

The event drew 48,000 visitors, a 20% increase from last year's edition, and received huge requests and applications from Moroccan immigrants settled in Europe as well as from foreigners wishing to buy houses or apartments in Morocco.

The show, which was staged on a 15,000 m2 area, gathered 120 exhibitors offering a wide range of interesting deals and packages to potential buyers.

The exposition program also included conferences moderated by experts on the regulations governing the purchase of a real estate property in Morocco, co-ownership, the sale of properties under construction, tourist properties for rent and the transfer of real estate assets in Morocco.

The exhibit was inaugurated by Housing Minister, Taoufiq Hjira who was flanked by Moroccan ambassador in Paris, Mustafa El Sahel.

During this exposition, a guide (real-estate Info booklet) was presented to Moroccan immigrants at a meeting chaired by minister in charge of the Moroccan community living abroad, Mohamed Ameur who unveiled on this occasion his department's action plan and strategy to defend the interests of Moroccans residents abroad.
