Cooperation IDB grants Morocco loan, two donations The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has granted Morocco a loan of MAD 1.6 billion (about 198.5 million dollars) to set up a gas turbine electricity station in the city of Kenitra (40 km north of Rabat).
Signed on Thursday, the loan agreement aims at promoting electricity production in the city of Kenitra to enable it to meet growing demand.
The IDB also granted the North African country two donations worth MAD 11 million (about 1.4 million dollars) to finance development projects as part of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) intended to fight poverty and precariousness.
The first (MAD 8.2 millions) is meant to help in the fight against poverty, and the second (MAD 2.6 million) to help the ‘Institut Pasteur' to conduct a study on vaccination against poisonous bite wounds. By CMC |
