Ouarzazate is one of the most beautiful and most visited cities in Morocco since it is one favourite travel destination for tourists all over the world. It is situated in the south of Morocco and surrounded by the high Atlas Mountains on the northern side and the desert on the southern one. Naturally, Ouarzazate is known of its Kasbahs which stretch a long the city; the Kasbah was historically built to protect the leader when the city is under attack, it has very high walls and built on the top of the hills, and several of them were as well located near the entrance of harbours. In addition, Ouarzazate is a place for diverse cultures, distinctive traditions and unique food. Many languages are spoken in this city mainly Tachlheit which is spoken by the majority of population. One of the remarkable things in Ouarzazate is its luxurious hotels or riads which supply all means of comfort and rest to all guests. Not to mention the festival of roses which take place in May of each year in Kelaa Mgouna, This festival which lasts two days, is organised to celebrate the arriving of the roses of the valleys of Dads and Mgoun. Throughout the festival, Kelaa Mgouna becomes doubled of population during this period, as it attracts both the foreign tourists and the Moroccans living in the other cities of the kingdom, who come to discover an area known for its perfumes and cosmetic products. One another famous feature of the city is being known as Moroccan Hollywood due to the fact that several famous films took place in it is enough to mention here Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and many others.
