Default How much should I pay for a camel ride into the desert (and other things)??

Hello!
I'm about to visit Morocco for the second time, and while I know how much to expect to pay for a night in a hostel, and for food, I've forgotten the cost of most other things. I'm pretty good at bartering but I need to know how much is a reasonable price to expect to pay!
One thing I really want to do is to go into the sahara on a camel trek and spend a night there - does anyone know how much that costs?
Also, how much should I ask to pay for a henna tattoo/a pair of shoes/a dress/a small shisha pipe?? Oh and the taxi from the airport in Marrakech to the city centre!
these are the only things i can think of off the top of my head but I'm sure there'll be other things!

Hello -
This link could give you an idea of the pricing of economy hostels and such:
GoMorocco: book Morocco

About the other questions, It's kind of hard to tell but for the cab, you can ask the driver to use the meter, so they can't over charge you. Henna is kind of cheap, I will say 20dhs could do the job.

I will be in Morocco soon, and I can ask for you for better accuracy.
You can also check out this thread about prices of different products in Morocco to have a better budgeting idea:

Good luck and happy trip

Hi there,

Camel ride in Morocco varies. It can cost around $10-$20 or more for each person.

well, as you know morocco is a country of bargaining. so for the cab you can ask the driver to use the meter in the taxi is "petit taxi"; however, if the taxi is a mercedes big taxi, then you will have to bargain to your best, some 50 dh or 60 can be a good deal.

well i have been there and i faced the same problem before getting informed about a person through his website. he has actualy been extremely helpful especially with the tour of morocco and seeing its wonders.

should you need his information, i will look for it in my morocco archive docs and send it to you. by the way he speaks english perfectly as a native would do and he can tailor make a good trip for the best price that you will find the big deal of your life: good car, good driver, expert guie, authentic hosting, ...etc

best from me
