Travelling within morocco - advice needed Hi all,
I will be in Morocco in July this year and cannot wait however I need some advice regarding travelling within the country as I plan to move around.
I will fly into Marrakech and plan to be there about 3 days. I then wish to move on to Rabat, Meknes and Fez.
Originally I had the idea of doing all this travelling by train. I would stay in Marrakech for a few days, book the train tickets to Rabat and then stay in Rabat for about a week and use it as base from which to get trains to meknes and fez. I also wish to visit Volubilis and since I have an interest in Zoos I'd like to visit the one in Temara.
My question is: does this make sense? i.e. to use Rabat as a base from which to travel out to the these places over the course of a week or should I actually book somewhere to stay in Meknes and Fez?
Also how easy is it to book trains? Would a taxi or bus be cheaper/better than a train going from Rabat to meknes and fez? |
