I think after this there might be more security provided for foreigners in India. The last thing the Indian government would want is more attacks on tourists.
It is however a bit scary because the terrorists attacked 3 places where I would be very likely to be, if I was in Mumbai. The Taj Mahal hotel has great views of the bay and the Gateway of India. I cant afford to stay there but I love having a drink while watching the view.
Cafe Leopald is someplace where just about every backpacker visiting Mumbai hangs out.
And of course the train station is a place where I would be buying train tickets and waiting for trains.
I will be going to Mumbai in May. I bought the ticket before all this happened. I hope it does not freak me out too much when I see bullet holes in the walls of my favourite cafe.
It is just a few weeks before I go to Delhi. Lets hope the terrorists leave it alone. I was very nervous for the last few days about it, but thankfully it is starting to go to the back of my mind. Afterall, I am from Ireland and we had a terrorist problem there for 50 years and I rarely gave a thought to bombs etc when I visited N. Ireland.
