Visiting Moroccan Secretary General at the Foreign Ministry, Youssef Amrani, and Secretary of State at the New Zealand Foreign Ministry, Simon Murdoch, held talks Wednesday on the means to foster cooperation between the two countries.
During the talks, the two parties underlined the need to reinforce bilateral relation through organizing regular meetings at different levels.
Amrani informed the New Zealand official of the great projects and the modernisation process witnessed in Morocco during the last decade, notably the progress in the field of democracy, human rights and the fight against poverty.
He also tackled the latest developments on the issue of Morocco's territorial integrity.
The peace process in the middle east was raised in a meeting with undersecretary of State Peter Hamilton. The Moroccan official shed light on the role played by Morocco under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds committee, to reactivate the peace process in the region.
During a meeting with trade minister, Tim Grosser, the Moroccan official highlighted investment opportunities offered by Morocco’s geo-strategic location.
He also examined the coordination between Morocco and New Zealand in international organization, during talks with undersecretary of state in charge of international organization.
Amrani, who leads a working visits in the region, also met with New Zealand businessmen who expressed their interest in Moroccan industries, notably in the field of fisheries and fertilizers.
